Dino Patti, the CEO of Limbo and Inside developer Playdead, has left the company. Writing on Twitter, Patti said he's exiting the Danish studio to "seek new challenges."

"Following almost 10 incredible years building Playdead from an idea to two dents in the games industry, I'm leaving to seek new challenges," he wrote.

Patti founded Playdead in 2006 with Arnt Jensen. The studio has released two games over the years: Limbo (2010) and Inside (2016).

There is no word on who will take over for Patti as Playdead's CEO. We attempted to contact Patti via his work email, but it is no longer operational.

GI.biz reports that Patti sold his Playdead shares to Jensen, though the volume and value of the transaction was not specified. We'll update this post when more details become available regarding the management structure of Playdead.

Playdead's two games have been highly regarded, as Limbo sits at a 90 on GameSpot sister site Metacritic, while the recently released Inside has a 92 rating. GameSpot's reviews for the games scored them a 9 and 8 respectively.

The developer enjoyed critical success and did so with a relatively small team. Playdead's headcount stands at around 25 people, according to GI.biz.

Playdead has not announced any new games.
